were action packed. Reading the thread below Jarmal was either a bonehead or did not commit a foul. I did watch the post game interview with # 1 and #2 and coach WT. My initial reaction was they were all strapped into the chair and then the Governor called.
What in the heck happened?

I have the game on DVR but haven't been able to watch it yet. Here's a video recap that will give you the full story, including the wild last seconds:
The focus, of course, is on the final seconds. But as was posted elsewhere on the board, the focus should perhaps be on the fact that the Beavers came back from behind in the final minutes to take the lead. Also, one ironic thing about the way it ended is that the Beavers may not have gotten the call on that final desperation half-court 3-point attempt if Utah hadn't gotten the call 2 seconds earlier. In both cases, it would not have been unheard of for the refs to swallow their whistles. But they couldn't very well swallow them on the Utah foul after whistling the OSU foul that allowed Utah to take the lead.

But, being there it was nice to see the officials take the 4 minutes to watch and then interpret the call correctly... -there indeed was contact on Stevie -Stevie did NOT release the shot before the clock expired -however, the contact was before the clock expired and Stevie was in the ACT of shooting So (3) free throws... very close

Agreed that in most cases neither would have been called a foul. On the last play the Utah defender made the cardinal mistake of leaving his feet and inviting contact on a shot that should not have been that closely contested. Huge props to the Beavs for battling back from the dead. Teams with quality big men are going to be tough for us to match up against. At this point our freshman bigs, though exceeding my expectations, are not there yet. It's crazy how many quality teams are in the conference this year. This was the kind of game we never would have found a way to win in past years.
