I would guess they would go after Sumlin before anyone else. FYP You didn’t fix my post. They will not take Sumlin because he is liable to pull a Taggart and jump ship for a better job at the first chance he gets. |

So, if I'm reading the fishwrap story correctly, WT took a boosters private jet to AZ on a "recruiting" trip. And oh by the way, was able to interview with FSU afterwards...........wow.........wonder if he will take the jet to Tallahassee on Tuesday?

Just reading Fish Wrapper with rumors saying WT is in Florida. Has cancelled visits with Duck recruits. Also wants to take Leavitt and others with him. Ducks now looking at Harsin. LOL Hate to see them scramble to to keep their Epic World Class, soon to be All World recruits. My lord if they hire Harsin I will die laughing. Duck fan thinks they will lure Meyer from Ohio State or Saban from Bama. |

Along with Sumlin and Harsin, I believe Gary Andersen is also available. Sadly he is only available for games in the state of Utah. So USU needs to hold out for homes games with tsdtr for next 2.5 years |

And now this. Ouch. Talk about salt in the wound. I approve! linkMoose wouldn't approve building of the tajmahole as sdtr AD. So he was canned in favor of a booster. New booster-AD's first priority was killing the wrestling program with little regard, or opportunity for those it affected to offer a workable solution to keeping it viable which they had at the time. |

Why Willie was looking to leave, anywhere, in the direction of homeThis is relative to the beavs position in the recruiting world. 4 and possible 5 of the florida commits from the east were already waffling about coming all the way across the continent to, what is them a foreign land Any Beav coach that focuses recruiting in Florida or even Texas needs to be relocated to California. This side of the continental divide please. This is a huge country and even modern air travel doesnt diminish the hardship and differences between the pacific northwest and the South. Need to get the California talent that we know is there. The dux thought that Nike and Uncle Phil somehow make Eugene a desirable place for recruits in Florida and Texas. This was a vast overestimation. After only a few months Willie had come to the realization
- the hotstuff recruits were not going to flock to Eugene,
- the facilities and the association with Nike do not win games by themselves
- Springfield smells like a bunghole half the time
This is a super sad day for Hole fans. Please be respectful.

Sumlin was their choice until the 11th hour, last night (when things fell through). Just so you're aware. Yeah, because you know that. They talked to him. That is all you know. They also talked to Wilcox. In other words, they didn’t hire Sumlin, so I got that part right. Just so you’re aware. |
