I am somewhat selective, at least, in who I want to get to know.

Yesterday's news for those who haven't heard yet... ucks have offered additional nike cash to willie. Though he has yet to agree to the new contract, this fuels my speculation that he is actually interested in bolting for FSU. Nike Dealexcerpt: "The Oregon Ducks have offered to add one year to football coach Willie Taggart's contract, which would be valued at more than $20 million before incentives over the next five years, a source confirmed to ESPN. The contract, first reported by Sports Illustrated, would run through the 2022 season. Taggart initially signed a five-year, $16 million deal after leaving South Florida to take the Oregon job last December."

Do we have something reliable and/or official? No. We've got a random FSU fan guaranteeing it and Can-o-crappo saying he's gone if FSU offers. Between the two of them, they're probably worth about as much as a Footballscoop report, which we've learned is worth very little. I don't dislike Taggart, but it would be fun to watch the ducks scramble to get a new coach and to see the chaotic domino effect that follows. I imagine that if Uncle Phil thinks Taggart is the long-term answer for the ducks then they'll magically come up with a few billion dollars to keep him. If Uncle Phil didn't like how the ducks did with backup QBs this season then Taggart has already seen the best offer he's going to see from the U-of-Nike.

So what about Frost to Oregon? I know Neb thinks they have him in the bag, but the Duck have a better QB right now.

I think he’s a mediocre coach but a great recruiter. And great players have a way of making mediocre coaches look good. So while I originally wanted to see him stay for a long time, I’m not as sure anymore. The Ducks won’t have any ethical problems hiring Leavitt as HC, and what he did with their defense was wizard like, so not sure that’s good either. Wish they'd hire Mora!!

I hope he leaves just to cause disruption. Frost isn’t available, chip is at UCLA. I think they go for Norvell or Sumlin. It will be interesting to see which assistants Taggart takes with him, if he does indeed leave. Didn’t Cristobal and Leavitt both coach in the state of Florida at some point?

Well there is a coach who's all but announced he's looking for a better offer and that coach just happens to have the ducks number. The question is, could they sustain the culture shock and complete makeover of a Coach Leach?

The question is, could they sustain the culture shock and complete makeover of a Coach Leach? Leach with the Sheldon QB would be a great match. Heck, Leach at OSU with Luton would turn out well. You want to pass the ball? The Pirate is your man. If WSU loses him, they'll lose their way for a long time indeed.
