Footballscoop is now reporting FSU is offering the job to Taggart.
Translation- Beau Baldwin is the new HC of FSU As much as I would hate for it to be that, the reaction from the Seminole fans would be hilarious. What? Who? Bo (intentional misspell) Baldwin? From where? California and before then Eastern Washington? That means he's from Maryland, right?

Speaking of salary... did any one report what Niner is making now? Or any details of the 5 year deal? 1.9 mil/year, with another 3.3 mil to spend on assistants! He could pay coordinators $750K, and position coaches $250K on average. Super competitive money to get great OC and DC. Not saying they’d get that much, but they just about could. If it’s skewed on one side of the ball in comparison, I’d love to see a premium on paying the defensive coaches, but I think there’s enough there to get strong talent on both sides.

I took that as Taggart takes the FSU job, Phil offers Tedford the other richest contract in NCAA history, and Beau moves on to Fresno State.

Cancrappo just came out said Willie is gone if FSU offers. This, unfortunately means that Willie is probably staying.
After all, 50% of the time, Cancrappo is wrong every time.

If Taggert bolts I’m a strong advocate of the sucks trying to out do the Beavs and hiring Joey 5-picks as their head guy. Better yet... try to prove they are better than us by making GAG/QA a winner!!

Can you imagine risking $75 mil for a HC? That's more than our entire staff will get in a decade. Talk about putting a ton of eggs in one basket, which happens to be named "SEC". See a couple not so good seasons at College Station and there's a humongous payout plus whatever the next coach costs. Gigged Aggies indeed!
OSU not only gets off relatively cheap but there's little for fan expectations, so time is on the side of JS while the budget is not going to take any real hits for coaching changes.
Odds are good we'll be happier in a few years than ATM's fans and donor base will be.

Krikey, with that kind of money you could have an NFL team and billions still in the bank!

This comment made me look it up. Texas A&M has the 7th largest endowment of any university in the country, and 1st among public schools. I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years. ====================== Oil money. A portion of the money from every barrel of oil pumped in part of Texas goes into the endowment fund for the UT and A&M systems. Needless to say, it's been pretty lucrative over the past century+. www.texastribune.org/2017/08/21/ut-system-oil-money-gusher-its-administration-and-trickle-students/
