.....( www.pure-orange.net/bscdam/index.html) after you click on the wet gerbil on the black screen. Is it "officially" down for the count, or does Lucky plan to bring it back at some time in the future? Anybody hear anything? I like this site just fine, except that it seems like it gets a lot less traffic than P-O did (or is that just my imagination?)

Pure orange was pretty sparse post wise (at least seemed to me) the past year or so. Lot of people online here or so the check in thing at the bottom shows. Just need more to post, I think most people like me seem to just read.

Kind of a shabby way to call it quits.

I talked to Lucky's wife last week... he's just been beyond busy. I offered any help... but I have no clue as to what I could do...

Kind of a shabby way to call it quits. What I find shabby is the way some posters talk about Lucky over this situation. People that know him have mentioned that he is very busy with his career right now. His board needs a complete rebuild, and that takes time, possibly an investment in computer equipment and software as well. I've been a member of message boards that were company run, for profit, entities that dropped off the face of the earth for months at a time when they needed a workover. For an individual to run an active message free message board on top of career and family and any sort of personal life for a decade to decade and a half really shows perseverance. If it is over, people should be thankful for what it was. I'm still hoping it'll come back, but if not I'm glad to have had it for the 15/16 years I've been following it.

But a sentence or two of explanation would have been a nice way to exit the stage. To just flip the lights off without explanation seems to me, a shabby way to bring any enterprise to a conclusion- regardless if whether it's a labor of love or if it's just for the cash. Does he he owe me an explanation? No. Lucky doesn't owe me jack s%#te. But the the way the site sputtered into extinction was not in keeping with the way it was run for over a decade and that is disappointing.

Sometimes, you just have to know when to ask for help.

Not saying anything is pretty thoughtless for anyone to do to fans. Hard to believe somebody would do that! weird

Lucky didn't abandon P-O guys and gals. Some dickhead duck poster has jammed it with something like 10 million messages a second. How it is being jammed is way beyond what i know about such things, but that is what Lucky told me last fall. We need to find the SOB that's doing this and throw his a$$ out of his mother's basement. Covering him in tar and feathers seems appropriate too.

Some people apparently don't know the difference between a good natured prank and just being a jack hole.
