Carl's Jr., not BK. Across the street from the old Cannery Mall. Ah, the old Thunderbird, among other things. I used to live right behind it back in '81, then a few blocks away, then it became a jazz bar for a while, had 25 cents build your own tacos, then became a chinese place with a mexican lunch buffet and popular dance club... then I grew up a bit... It was still something when I left town, must've been the Time Out. I was kind of surprised when I came back in '13 and it was Carl's. I can see my old bedroom roof from their lot.

I'm totally lost, where was the Time Out? I left Corvallis in January of '99, can't remember it unless it was a bar somewhere (Golf City, the Corvallis CC) that I just didn't realize what the name was. I spent a year and a half working in Salem before that and didn't get out much, still don't recall it from earlier. Across from the Old Cannery Mall (on 9th). Just off the northwest corner of 9th and Fillmore (one block segment). Where the Carl's Jr. is presently. Don't recall the name of the place in the 60s/70s - or after 1984 or so.
I think it may have been Lum Lee's, previously?
I'm thinking Lum Lee's was an early name for the big bar downtown on 3rd and Monroe, Wes's and Crazy Horse and Bob Green's Greenhaven, and later Wes's again, before it became a bunch of different things and now houses Beaver doughnuts and such.

All this talk of MR being interested, DE going to help and hang out more, old Beavers maybe being assistants... pretty much resembles "getting the band back together"... BUT NOT! Eff those USU impostors...
These dudes are tried and true BEAVERS... trust is there... support from the past players is there more in a few hours than in the last 3+ years. I still think the glass is half empty until we get staffed. But, actually thinking about it, there was really no other option that could have galvanized Beaver Nation like this.
I'm also glad to see that many of the MR "haters" would welcome him home and coaching if JS asks. If we get a couple key coaches (some were already contacted)... and one has supposedly been in touch with his recruit base and possible transfers that are disgruntled... we could also see our recruiting class surprisingly jump into the low 50's/high 40's with a few select players.
PS- completely on another track. Anyone have an update on the supposed grad transfer QB who has been oft injured? Supposed to be here Winter term....
GO BEAVS
