The champion of a mediocre baseball league... given little regard... period. Keep arguing ridiculous moot points. Inane post. =========================== You really need to learn basic writing skills. If you meant to say, "champion of a mediocre league," then say it. But when you say "a mediocre Northern Division team," that means something else entirely. Basic writing skills are neither moot nor inane. And... like many of your posts you "argue" message board posting technique vs factual inaccuracies you may or may not support. Not sure many others have the same trouble understanding posts as you. But, then again you do understand enough to argue how it should read. So, really it's just you trying to convince yourself how smart you are? Or, insecure enough to attempt to show others? Lol... it's a message board not a thesis. Next whine... or just maybe you can focus more of your energy on being a BEAVER?!

Does anyone know who they interviewed other than Baldwin and 9er? Well... we can say Barnes had run a very tight ship in this search. As even those are rumors that no one I know can confirm 100%. The only 100% was Hall. But, even that was unclear if interview or meeting with him about the team etc. So, what's out there might happen, might be complete surprise, but no one in here knows crap. Other than an "I told you so" after its announced... We are relatively safe that it'll be way better than the last three years. Right?

Why you gotta love those who argue stats. You can just make up "14 Kragthropes" to attempt to make your point. Lol Point being you can't tell us whether that group was a group of solid coaches, or a few good ones and a bunch of Kragthorpe/ Andersen types that made a career off a couple good seasons. I agree with your evaluation on the statistics, but I think the biggest point is being missed. The roughly 36% winning percentage means nothing unless it is compared to all different types of groups. For example let's say that P5 hired coaches with previous P5 experience have a winning percentage of 32% (I do not have the true numbers), then hiring from FCS is smarter. Without this information we really know nothing. Nobody wants to win at a 36% clip, but you cannot remove 1 group, due to a statistic, without the ability to prove that another group is statistically better. To me this is the real crux of the matter.
