I would put Thropay on her. She seems , to me, to be our new Gabby.

Any free links? I have Direct TV & Sling. I don't see the game on the radar I'm getting it by clicking on the schedule section for this game in the OS official site. Then click on watch.

Free espn3 app I then use Apple TV to throw it to the big screen
Alternatively, click the OSU Beaver official athletic site and wait for the wbb game and click on video

Many turnovers are killing the team

Marie was just a non factor on offense the last 15 min. She's has to get more than 9 shots off.
Good game vs a good team on their floor. Will help give SR time to adjust for Pac12 play.

Marie was just a non factor on offense the last 15 min. She's has to get more than 9 shots off. Good game vs a good team on their floor. Will help give SR time to adjust for Pac12 play. Numbers tell us all we need to know in this one - along with Marie being a non factor in the last quarter-ish, here are some others: Turnovers - OSU 18, Duke 9 Points off turnovers - OSU 9, Duke 24 Steals - OSU 3, Duke 11 Most everything else (FTs, rebounds, shooting %) was even enough. Other random points: - McWilliams must be more aggressive to the basket for us. She is playing the finesse game, but that does not put foul pressure on any of her mismatches. SR couldn't pull her (essentially co-led team in rebounds and assists), but most everyone (including her) played the "finesse game" and didn't get to the line. - Which leads to the "forward by committee" (Taya, Janessa, Maddie): 0 for 2 attempts and 3 rebounds in 23 cumulative minutes, and 1 of the attempts was a 3. Need more from this group. - Needless to say, our forwards didn't get on track, and the outside shot was defended (9 of 25) well enough to slow us down. Add in a bunch of TOs, and there is the game. - Let's hope Joanna can be a factor like she was against NCCU and not a non-factor like she was this game in most of our upcoming games, or our forwards come along to the point where we can go small and ride them to get breathers for Marie. Help is certainly on the way, but it is called Andrea and Patricia and that help is still a year away from getting here. - I really like how far along Goodman is - it might be worth giving her more minutes in the PG role and free up Mik to run her defender ragged (especially given Goodman is hitting 3s at a 70% clip). So far, her AAU coach Sopak is right on - she has been the steal of the signing class. - Duke looks good and built for a deep run, and young to boot. - Entertaining game, much hope for the future! Go Beavers!

Rueck needs to institute a "follow your shot" drill.
McWilliams needs to pass better. That "no-look" pass to Kalmer was embarrassing.
We can't live by the 3 pt shot, alone. We need movement and cutters to get people open for layins, backdoors, give-and-gos. Other teams do it to us all the time, and all we do is try to get open for 3's or get it to our big.
And other miscellaneous stuff. Leaving shooters open for 3 pt shots, not guarding their deadeye 50%+ shooter.
Driving into the middle of the lane where you're surrounded and end up losing the ball. Getting stripped all the time.
Lots to work on.

I wasn't able to watch the game so I don't have the informational base to say much.... 2ndGenBeav provided the essential stats to help us figure out what happened at Duke yesterday....Thanks for putting that info together in one place !!
Now the team is looking at a lot of travel before their next game.....If they weather the air time, and play solid ball in Maui, collect 2 wins, I sure everyone in the program will feel better about this team....
Right now, however, it looks like most of those who post here predicted things pretty accurately. This team is not strong on the boards, is heavily reliant on Pivec & Gulich to handle the heavy lifting, and except for Kalmer, does not have slashing power to the basket....The net consequence if this does not improve is that in games when the perimeter shooters are not shooting well the Beavs will suffer thru some long nights at the gym.
Right now a lot rides on Katie Mac and Maddie improving their offensive game - hopefully that happens. My personal observation: Grymek will not be a factor this season. She lacks foot speed in the paint, and no matter what Coach says to the press, she does not as yet have PAC 12 hands. GO BEAVS......

She lacks foot speed in the paint, and no matter what Coach says to the press, she does not as yet have PAC 12 hands. GO BEAVS...... Grymek needs to still be a 5 point/3 boards/1 block in 10 minutes sort of reliever for Gulich for us to contend this year, since Gulich needs breathers - but I think the assessments here are pretty accurate, in that her footwork needs to improve for that to happen. And that it might take the season. I continue to believe this team will go as the trio at forward goes - I am actually surprised Corosdale hasn't been able to contribute more - I had mentally pegged her to contribute like Mik did coming in (since they were ranked about as highly), but I think this says more about how special Mik is than it does about Taya not finding her way yet....Thropay has the initiative taking and hustle, Maddie has the aggressiveness and some high post vision, so hopefully it is just a matter of time. Lastly, I am starting to wonder if KTMac has the aggressive/slasher role in her. Not looking like it thus far. I think much of the Pac-12 looks like Duke, personnel wise (i.e. aggressive, quick, physical paint players with range + quick sharp-shooting guards) , so we will have to hope for stellar outside shooting if we are to be one of the top four or five Pac-12 teams this season unless we resolve the forward situation.... Go Beavers!

My take on Grymek is that she lacks good peripheral vision. She loses track of the basket relative to where she is and has to scramble to get into place, making her look clumsier than she is. Gulich works great with her back to the basket, unfortunately Grymek needs to develop a different style of play and I don't think she has anyone to help her with that.
I agree that KtMac isn't the aggressive type for driving to the basket, but I think Taya from what little I've seen of her has plenty of aggressiveness for that role.
KtMac has been doing pretty good at shooting short jumpers since she is frequently guarded by shorties (compared to her anyway), so if she good work at doing that consistently then that would open up both the inside and outside if they had to jump out after her. Having her closer to the basket would also help with the rebounding chore.
We'll see what coach comes up with. It will be fun fun fun, as I cheer cheer cheer!

#6 ND wins at #3 SC... 92-85
The ladies have to develop and are prob a year away, but at home with growth they can be a factor this year. Sweet 16 would be a good goal if they get home games in post season.
