I didn't think it was possible, but Coach Tinkle may just be heading a basketball squad that is actually coached at a worse level than the Football team was this year and he is doing it with some actual talent. Amazing stuff. I haven't seen this kind of ineptitude since Jay John. Tinkle is making Robinson look good.
Personally I will not watch or listen to another O.S.U. "men's" basketball game until I hear there has been a MIRACLE turnaround or we get another coach. The sons may leave if he is fired, but that would be a minor problem compared to keeping this fool at the head of the program.

How do you REALLY feel, Gresham? Don't hold back now.

This team has some issues to sort through but to compare them to the football team is really stretching it. Really stretching it! Also to compare it to the Jay John era is just not even in the ballpark.

I see the biggest problem being the defense.

Hey guys, I know I didn't sugar coat anything in my statement. I will also say I was not much of a basketball player in my youth. Baseball and Football were my two games. Played some hoops, but didn't have the quickness.
However; I have been watching OSU basketball since the starting 5 included Terry Baker, Mel Counts, Jim Jarvis ecetera. Have been to hundreds of games. I used to buy Far West Classic season tickets every year and go to several home games per season even while working full time and living in Portland and Gresham raising a family.
I have never seen a team as dysfunctional as this one that has the talent it has available, not saying I haven't seen worse teams, but not at this talent level. This guy is not a game day coach. JUST MY OPINION!

It is very frustrating to watch. There is no depth to speak of. Even the 2014-2015 had at least 8 players to rely on to play high intensity defense. This team only has liabilities for substitutes. The effort level drops when the fatigue sets in. Where a good team could sub in for a few minutes at each spot with competence and hustle or even scoring the beavs bring in players who can't dribble, shoot or who lack major college quickness. The recruiting in the WT era has been worse than Jay John, easily, if you don't count Daddyball.
