She did not play, not sure why but if I had to guess she is still injured.

Aleah Goodman is healthy and appears to be recovered sufficiently from the knee scare that kept her out of action until the game against Utah Valley.
Yesterday's game would have been a difficult one to expose a freshman point guard to, especially when Taylor Kalmer was productive with her play off the bench. Goodman's three point shooting will help the team this season. I look forward to seeing how she develops this year.
I have a feeling that Coach Rueck will work Goodman into the rotation when he can and prepare her for the PAC-12 season.

vhf - thanks for the update on Goodman... Taylor K had a solid game yesterday. I kept an eye trained on her defense and it certainly seemed up to par.... She pressures with high energy....To me this is important because, except for Pivec, Taylor is the only player on this team that has shooting skills, offensive attack skills and the mindset to go with each...
I like a lot about this team but I also believe every coach in the PAC has already seen enough to know the basics. Positives: Excellent passing team with good team speed, good perimeter shooters; one excellent low post player; good but not excellent team defense. Negatives: Minimal rebounding muscle; offensive players who do not (cannot) attack the basket effectively; no significant power forward.
I'm really looking forward to the North Caroline swing next week....It will be a real test for any young team, but especially for a team with the Negatives described above....
GO BEAVS !!!
