I've noticed in the games that 6 or 8 times a game a player will slip and fall while making a move or sudden stop. is the new floor slick and is there anything that can be done about the finish. someone is going to get hurt and we can't afford that.

I think there is poor recruiting of the floor mop guys, they aren't hustling to the wet spots and.....seriously tho, the opposing team's coaches should not be out there with towels mopping up the floor. There have been several times where people have slipped and there is no reaction from the guys who are supposed to work to keep the surface dry.

I have noticed the same thing - seems like the floor mop crew has to be given a major hint to do their job of late. The major hint usually consists of some player slipping hard to the floor, and then some subset of the players or refs or coaches physically taking the mops out of the hands of the crew and doing their job for them. Sigh. I too fear for the "unforced" injury. Go Beavers!

But I'm not sure if its either poor recruiting, not putting in the effort to teach when and where to mop (along the side of the key and free throw line after free throws, on the spot where a player fell down), or the kids just don't care and would rather be at the game for discount rate and shoot baskets before each half while the players are in the locker rooms.
