Just drives me nuts. We are bigger than ‘soma and have a 235 lb. RB who punished. Garretson is helpless in the passing game so frequently, and we don’t protect. Should have gone for it on 4th and 1 from mid-field anyway. What do we have to lose? The game? I guess it could be the difference between 2-8 and 1-9.

Dont think it was supposed to be a pass.. on the replay you saw Garretson wanting to hand off to Nall but either he turned the wrong way or Nall went wrong direction.

He is such an awful passer that it’s painful. Maybe the least-skilled passer we’ve had since the year before Riley arrived the first time. Just brutal. Amazing to think that he was hailed as the answer as he sat out in CGA’s first year.

Garretson may be inaccurate and short but he's not stupid. If you have a play-action pass called (which I think what it was), you are going to finish the play by at least trying to throw the ball away if nothing's there. If it was a run call, and you throw, that's not too smart because you have offensive lineman releasing up-field and you get an auto "ineligible downfield" call. Trust me, that was a play-action call. A BAD call but it was play-action! Go Beavs!
