with everyone healthy? We're talking; Luton, Seth, all the DBs, etc.
It's interesting. I think the Beavs possibly win 2 of the last 3 games with all of their players healthy. 2 of those games were very close, as we all know. For the sake of just wondering "what if"? the team could possibly be 3-6 at this point. With all of those guys healthy, do they possibly make a run at 6-6? What do you say?
I don't think so but it is interesting!

Luton is TERRIBLE... turnovers incompletions, stork, slow delivery... DG is terrible as well, but at least he can game manage. If we kept last years starter, we would be on the cusp of making a bowl, if Luton stayed healthy, we still only have 1 win IMO

The situation and hair brained offensive scheme the coaches put him in was terrible. I also don't think he has a slow release. He does need to put a little air under his long balls.

He might be surprisingly good in a system like Jones runs. As a spread QB he's not much of a run threat.

I also disagree that Luton is "terrible". He has the best arm talent. He's still learning how to be a QB at this level, which is somewhat understandable since he transferred up. And although he was at Idaho, different conference and I'm not sure how much PT he got, if any? I think Luton's weakness is putting touch on the ball (all throws, short to intermediate). He also misses high often, which is interesting with receivers like Villy and Hodgins (both 6'4+). The high throws are usually an indication of an early release, which is what I have observed in his games. There are a lot of things that could have effected him (for better or for the worse) from the: play calling, to having a dynamic guy play like Seth Collins, to O Line and back pass pro, to the effectiveness of the running game. We never really saw all of those factors firing on all cylinders when he was in. Still haven't seen those happen all together this season!

Kid certainly has potential. hell, put him in ISU's system for a year ;0.
But you are spot on, awful offense for him here, not mobile enough to offset crappy o-line play.
Luton under Riley for 4 years in Riley's system would have been a damn good QB.
