Andrew Nemec posted on Facebook "Oregon State men's basketball appears to have landed a silent commit for 2019 class. Public announcement will take time (January at earliest)."
Any ideas who this may be?

No idea, but 247 has PG Gianni Hunt listed as warm. He's also from same high school as the Thompsons, so certainly a possibility.

If Gianni was the silent commit it’s no longer silent.

247sports.com/Article/Beavers-MBB-adds-commitment-from-3-PG-Gianni-Hunt-120480901/While Hunt hoops for Bishop Montgomery during the high school season, he plays for the Oakland Soldiers on the AAU circuit and has several other notable teammates on that squad including 3* PF Kenyon Martin (holds an OSU offer), 4* PG Boogie Ellis and PG Scotty Pippen, Jr. Among Gianni's offers were Nevada, San Diego State, UNLV, Boise State, Fresno State and Pac-12 rival, Southern California. Hunt and Jarod Lucas will join 3* wing Julien Franklin (Villa Park, CA) in Corvallis. The trio of the 3*s bumps the Beavers' class ranking up to the 14th best in the nation and 3rd best in the Pac-12.

Excited about this pickup. He's a true point guard, while Lucas looked much more like a combo guard to me in tapes I've seen. So does that leave Beavers with one more open scholarship for 2019?
Welcome Gianni. Excited to see you in a Beaver uni.

Welcome Gianni. Excited to see you in a Beaver uni. Desperately needed acquisition. and, guys, we have a pretty darn good class on paper. I am still a guy that has faith Tinkle just hit a real bad bump in the road two years ago. looks like he is pulling in pieces of the puzzle.

Shooting technique is unusual. Release point seems lower than Lonzo Ball's. Ball was able to get away with it in college though. Hope Gianni can do the same.

I think this is a very good commitment. Good news for the team.
