when's the last time they had a commit 2 years early? On that note, I find it impossible to get even slightly excited by a commit from a sophomore in high school. How often do those early commits stick with the commitment?

at least the coaches are out there making OSU something for these kids to dream about and follow. I think that will pay dividends and can have a snowball effect in time especially if room starts to get tight in classes which shows others that there is demand to go there for a reason. (hopefully winless pac12 seasons aren't the ongoing reason in kids minds) I think this RB is a relative of a OS player.

I caught about 5 minutes of Angie Machado on Joe Beaver show and they asked her about the 2017/2018 kids. Paraphrasing from memory, but she said most of these guys are definitely blue chip type recruits, but the staff is making a strong effort to get in early on them, establish those relationships and hope that the loyalty pays off.
Nothing wrong with that. For all the kids who are swayed by shiny things, there are still some kids who remember that we were first to come calling.

I think this RB is a relative of a OS player. Cousin of Deltron Sands. No longer showing as a commit on Rivals.
