I may not feel that it is the right time in his coaching career for Coach Hall to be given the keys to our program permanently, but he just keeps impressing me. He is well-spoken, and his enthusiasm and committment to these kids smacks of genuineness. He seems humble and grounded, and the players obviously respect him.
He was told about the petition that was started on the weekend to name him the next HC, and he deflected it with class. He called it “flattering” and said it thrilled him that the players are feeling so much better about themselves and the program (after Villamin told a media person “this ain’t no ball club” just a few weeks ago). He went on to say that we have to understand that this is a business, and recruits need to choose OSU no matter who is chosen to lead this program moving forward. I appreciate this guy a lot. Every Beaver fan should feel that way for the work that he’s doing after events that could have driven the last nail into our coffin.
Much respect, Coach Hall!

Agreed. Whether he gets the HC job or not I sure appreciate that he at least helped make the last two home games competitive, enjoyable (despite the out comes) contests. I know basketball and football are apples and oranges but Hall appears to have taken the bull by the horns - Kevin Mouton appeared to just ride out the season when he took over for JJ in 07/08.

I would not mind trying the experiment of Cory Hall as head coach. I think you should get used to spelling his name correctly. I am not attempting to be the spelling police, but it may turn out that you will be typing his name many times in the future. Heck, you will even save yourself the time of that 1 extra letter.
