Now you're moving in the right direction! I like the thought. Worth considering.

From Idaho. It’s Idaho and he created a winner Possible Ahole but? He has an 18-38 record as a head coach. I know it's Idaho, but still. Outside of his record last year, 9-4, he has been underwhelming. Just to show I'm not just a guy who shoots down other suggestions, I'll go on the record and state that Norvell would be my first pick. He has his flaws as well, but I think he is a realistic target and a good offensive coach. I like Les Miles as well, just from what he could do from a recruiting/fundraising standpoint. I'd would trust him to pick a good O-Coordinator.

There are probably going to be four SEC jobs open, @ Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and A&M. I think one of these schools will come hard after him, Ole Miss is a good fit, as he's familiar with the area being at Memphis.

Now you're moving in the right direction! I like the thought. Worth considering. My first thought is no. My second thought is Heck no. But, if he did become the Beavs coach I would hope that there is some leak proof caveat that says his brother is not allowed even a short family visit within 500 miles of Corvallis. In my opinion he is the slimiest of all slime ball coaches of all time. I would sooner beg MR to return for another go - his terms. Win or lose with class. Find a way to finish Reser and they will come.

This is true, but I think most of those schools want a "bigger" name than Norvell. Isn't Ole Miss facing possible sanction as well? That job isn't as desirable as the others. Florida and A&M are great jobs, but you're lucky to get a full 3rd year to win the division it seems like. Tennessee will go after Chip Kelly hard, according to those internet rumormongers. Not sure if the "backyard" hire in Norvell will be exciting enough for that bunch, but who knows? Butch has brought in a ton of great athletes there, but he hasn't been able to pull it all together.
