UCLA, Oregon, and Stanford receive first place votes and are predicted collectively by the PAC-12 coaches to finish ahead of the Beavs in the conference during '17-'18. Last year, the Beavs were predicted by the coaches to finish fifth in the conference. For the record, the Beavs finished first in the PAC-12 Conference regular season standings during '16-'17 for a third consecutive season. pac-12.com/article/2017/10/11/ucla-womens-basketball-tops-preseason-poll

I think we finished first in the regular-season standings. Unless they give banners to third-place teams.

I think we finished first in the regular-season standings. Unless they give banners to third-place teams. Indeed, you can still see last year's standings here: pac-12.com/sport/womens-basketballEasy to find the Beavers. They are at the top. Here's hoping we can find them just as easily this coming season! Go Beavers!

Seems in line with the expectation on this board. UCLA, UO and Stanford are the obvious favorites. Cal, OSU and ASU are all viewed as potential contenders. WSU looks like a bubble team.
But look how far UW has fallen! Two years from a Final Four appearance, they are expected to finish last. That's an amazing fall.
I'm actually a little surprised by the lack of consensus. To get those particular numbers, at least a few voters have UCLA at low as fourth (and probably lower). Similarly, Stanford and UO only *average* a third-place vote, which means that for every first and second place vote they got, there has to be a fourth and fifth place vote to compensate (more-or-less).
This tells me that at least a few coaches are putting teams like ASU, Cal, and OSU in their top three. The coaches expect a scrum at the top, and I think they're right.

One of these years all these jackasses will finally realize that OSU Women's Bball and Rueck are here to stay! Can't wait to see that crew prove them all wrong once again.
Go Beavs!!
