The press is finally starting to publicly recognize that Andersen has failed.
From Ken Goe, Oregonian sports, 8 Oct.,'17:
".....the devolution of Oregon State football continued yesterday in the Los Angeles Coliseum, where the Beavers lost to a sloppy USC team, 38-10. Imagine how bad it might have been had the Trojans actually been interested......Oregon State's most glaring flaw is at quarterback. Unfortunately, it's just one of many. I've been covering college football since 1984. This is shaping up as the worst OSU season since Jerry Pettibone went 1-10 in 1995.
There continues to be a narrative out there that previous coach Mike Riley left little behind for Andersen when he decamped for Nebraska. Even if true, this is Andersen's third season. That excuse should be retired. I don't buy it anyway. OSU's offensive line hasn't been the same since Sean Harlow, Dustin Stanton and Gavin Andrews -- three guys Riley left for Andersen -- completed their eligibility last season.
Fresno State won again Saturday with the Riley-recruited Marcus McMaryion starting at quarterback. Riley recruit Manase Hungalu might be OSU's best defensive player. [Riley recruit].... Kempt didn't stay, and yesterday he led Iowa State to a massive upset of Oklahoma."

It is now painfully obvious that significant changes to the FB program need to occur in the very near future. Of particular concern is the long-lasting damage to OSU's fanbase that will occur in 2018 and beyond if CGA is retained past this season. Allowing the status quo to continue amounts to a dereliction of their administrative responsibilities by President Ray and Scott Barnes.
