Who is our QB? The cupboard is more than bare.

A good shot it's between Blount or Petras unless somehow Seth finishes the season as QB. We very well could see a revolving door of Petras/Blount/Dukart depending on who's healthy and the flavor of the day.
It's kind of amazing that when Riley left the team was left with 3 QBs that actually started for other D1 teams this year, yet two and a half years later we're down officially to 1 active QB plus a couple we're trying to redshirt.

Saw Dukart earlier this year. Far better arm than petras or blount. He might even have a stronger arm than Luton. But he is only like 6'2. Not sure about his escability etc. and pocket sense. I saw high school kids catching him and bringing him down.

Changing QBs every year and multiple times in a year is not a recipe for success. If a freshman has to start at QB for OSU next year, it will be another brutal year. Freshman QBs get eaten alive, look at uo last weekend with a much better O-line and offensive scheme than OSU...10 points. Once in a blue moon you get a highly recruited kid that can make the transition (Darnold) as a freshman, but they are surrounded by much, much, better offensive weapons than OSU has.

My uo buddy/superfan said this to me last week: "Yeah, we're down to Burmeister, but he was a 4-star recruit, so we will be just fine vs Wazzu." Ordinarily I'd pile on and give him a bunch of crap, but then I remembered that we had lost to USC earlier in the day. So I just let that one go.
