Dear President Ray, 'Just a short note here to emphasize some college gridiron numbers (as of Oct. 7, early afternoon) with which you might, or might not, not be familiar: 1) Iowa State 2017 overall record: 3-2, including a victory over #3 Oklahoma. 2) Washington State 2017 overall record: 5-0, including a victory over #3 Southern California 3) Oregon State 2017 overall record: 1-4, including a squeaker victory over a currently winless Div. 1A opponent All three schools are considered by many to be the "little brothers" in their state university systems. That hasn't stopped Iowa State or Washington State from fielding competitive teams. Oregon State hasn't had a regular season winning record since 2012. Current prospects are that OSU is on the verge of fielding even less competitive teams in the near future. In this day and age, if schools like Iowa State and Washington State can field competitive teams, there is no good reason that Oregon State cannot. I urge you to see to it that urgently needed changes are made to the OSU football program in the very near future.
Thank you, Grackle

Dear Grackle, Let me assure you that we understand the frustrations that many in Beaver Nation have expressed. We recognize that on the field the progress is coming more slowly than anticipated, but I have faith that Coach Gary Anderson (sic) has the team on the right course and our future will be bright once again. At Oregon State University, we take the education of these young men as our paramount responsibility. To that end, you should feel heartened that our Beaver football team has nearly a 3.0 grade point average. This shows outstanding progress by our head coach. While we understand your concerns and thank you for voicing them, we are sure there will be brighter days ahead for Beaver Nation! Go Beavers! President Ray

Well, lately, at least, it is Ed RAY. Not to me. Not if he can't even spell the coach's name he's defending. If that's his level of attention to detail it certainly isn't hard to see how we got into this mess when he got involved. That's why it's Ed REY.

I'm in with approval rights on the draft before donating... the better/more clever the message... the more I'll donate

If only we knew someone from this board that frequented the team hotel and knew how to rub elbows with the OSU Athletic Department Staff. This individual would need to be upset enough to be comfortable voicing an opinion, to the extent they don't care what others may think. Our champion would need to be comfortable enough in this environment...ideally would have experience in it...to be comfortable speaking with the staff. Dare we hope someone comfortable enough to report back to us on the board who are devoid of that kind of access with how the exchange went. Maybe divulge what was discussed. Maybe said individual could wear a sandwich board with our displeasure of the state of the team.
Now who do we know that fits that description?🤔
***Disclaimer(No posters were injured in the posting of this message. Really an attempt at some lighthearted humor. The idea of any fan wearing a message board through the lobby of a hotel kind of made me chuckle.)
