Sep 19 1998 20-40 L @ USC
Oct 2 1999 29-37 L @ USC
Sep 30 2000 31-21 W
Nov 3 2001 13-16 L @ USC (we should've ended the streak)
Sep 28 2002 0-22 L @ USC
Dec 6 2003 28-52 L @ USC
Could you imagine a SEC coach being 'down' with such scheduling? 5 out of 6 years in L.A. Thank God this B.S. changed in 2006.

Pac-12 scheduling was all screwed up in that period. We played Arizona at home 5 of 6 years between 1998-2003. I imagine they were not very pleased about that. We played at Seattle three years in a row (04-06) and won them all. During that same stretch WSU played every game at Reser.

You’re assuming they didn’t do it that way on purpose. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they tried to make sure big market teams didn’t suffer upsets to small market ones. I could be wrong, but I doubt the LA schools were sent up to Pullman five straight years.

Thank God this B.S. changed in 2006. My memory was this was all uo's fault. When the schedules came out in the mid 90s with every team having a bye against every team in the league except your rival over time, the ducks blew a gasket. They complained that missing home games with wsu and especially uw would kill their gate. The civil war and uw games alternated years for home games at autzen, and they were the only guaranteed sellouts in those days, and uo claimed they had to have one sellout a year to make ends meet. The schedules all had to be rebuilt to guarantee 'regional' rivalries were all maintained, which led to ugly schedules for those 5 years, the problem went away when the 9 game conference schedule was implemented.
