Looking for something to listen to while working today, I Googled for OSU Football audio archives. Not sure if this has been posted before but what I found was that the OSU Library has a page of footages from the history of various OSU Athletics. Lots of silent, some with radio audio, etc. Not a ton to choose from but covers everything from track and field to volleyball to football, baseball, and basketball. Goes back to 1925 and as recent as 2011. As near as I can tell, it's all streaming (you can't just download the files): scarc.library.oregonstate.edu/athletics-videos.htmlAt any rate, the one I'm listening to is the 1985 OSU vs UW Football game. I've only ever seen/heard the final plays of this game so it's fun to hear it from the start. I can't seem to post a direct link, but you can get to it from the page linked above. Just look on the page under "other game footage". NOTE: There is very loud interference on the audio from about 3:00-14:00 minutes of the first half. The audio stays pretty muted from 14:00-15:00. No scoring happens during this time, so you can just skip it if you want. The audio comes back just before the Huskies kick their first field goal.

Boy do I miss Daryl Aune - he was the best radio sports announcer I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. He's one of the main reasons I survived the 28 year losing streak.

He's one of the main reasons I survived the 28 year losing streak. exactly. But it was weird that the beavs became winners in football at just about the same time Darryl retired (or was forced out depending on who you believe). He had become very good at calling a losing football game by a losing team. When the beavs were winning or actually won he seemed a little out of his element, on the football side anyway. On the basketball side different story. But yeah he was fun to hear.
