I bet the farm Fresno would beat the beavers this season. I'm happy for marcus that he is playing again as a starter.

He's no Jake Luton. Or Darrell Garretson for that matter.

oh no, McM did the self referencing thing:
McMaryion said, as he tucked away his cape. “A younger Marcus would try to drive the ball in there.”
tread carefully!

How about this quote from the article:
Forty-five – Number of airborne yards on McMaryion’s 63-yard chuck to Derrion Grim in the second quarter. It had velocity, it had accuracy, it had the blunt force to lift the lid on a Nevada defense that grew accustomed to playing the short game.
McMaryion’s 40-yard touchdown pass to Johnson was caught deep in perfect stride. A 22-yard pass to Da’Mari Scott was a soft-toss lob of perfection.
The kid has got a cannon of an arm and a soft air gun, all at once. He sidesteps the blitz and refuses to scramble, because it’s easier to throw the ball over the top of the defense than to run headlong into it.
This does not seem to be the same assessment as some posters here who claimed 3M not only didn't have a D-I arm, but also was incapable of throwing a ball more than 25 yards downfield.
Huh.

Right now we could have Peyton Manning in his prime playing for us and it would avail us naught.
There's a lot more problems with the 2017 Beavs than the QB position. I just hope the players show up for four quarters in one game and show what they're capable of. That happened in Kragthorpe's last year when we played a decent Arizona team at home and demolished them. We were better than a 1-win team then although that all we won that season was the one game. We are better than that in the present but will the coaches and team wake up to show us what they can do when motivated fully by their own pride? At least I like to think there's still some of that quality present on the roster!

Huh. I don't want to speak for them, but I believe they were saying he couldn't throw it exactly 25 yards downfield, it either went 24 or 26 when he tried. In a series of 25-yard tests, he never one time threw exactly 25 yards.

3M not good enough for CGA's offense?? What the he!! is wrong with CGA? WTH is happening to Beaver football?
What the he!! did we ever do to deserve probably the worst coaching staff and worst D1 team in the NCAA? What did we ever do to deserve what promises to be yet another years-long losing streak? CRAP.

Thanks for making a bad day worse. Nothing like reading about your favorite Beaver player kicking ass for Fresneck.

Bump. Kyle Kempt is starting today as QB for Iowa State. Here is a quote from an article in the dead fish wrapper in 2015 about transferring out of Oregon State: "Kyle Kempt realized the fit wasn't right. To run his spread offense, new Oregon State coach Gary Andersen needs a dual-threat quarterback. Kempt is more of the pro-style variety, someone who excels at hanging back in the pocket to pinpoint his targets. So earlier this spring, after learning he would no longer compete for the starting job, Kempt told Andersen that he was ready to explore other options. "I support the decision," Andersen said. "I think it's a good decision. It's the decision that him and his family want." Sound familiar? But HEY, Jake Luton was soooo much better as a running, dual threat quarterback, right?

Hate to report, he looks pretty good too. Against Oklahoma, and they're OK!
