Damn.....I was really hoping Baseba1111 was being overly pessimistic, but appears that you are right. Problem is, we lose GP2 after this season, so next year doesn't look like the year either....maybe the year after, but sure feels like we're perennially in the state of 'saying, just wait until 2 years from now!!'

It seems to me as this year's team is really struggling to find what it is they can do and do it consistently. Right now I would say that confidence is really low. Shot selection is poor, taking way to long to get into their offense, playing tentatively and waiting for GPII to make a play. We are a very young team, we get very little respect from officiating, and we are pressing way to hard to be an elite team, which we are not. How about they relax, play within themselves, have fun and strive to improve. I am sure they have all read and heard that they are a NCAA tournament team. Not so fast my friend, perhaps learn to walk first. This coaching staff will get us to the big dance.

We haven't had a legitimate point guard since Lamar Hurd. Was hoping Bruce was the guy, but he's not there yet. Maybe it's JaQuori McLaughlin next year, but that doesn't help us right now. GPII is sort of a hybrid guard, but I think he's better when he doesn't have to bring the ball down the court and be a primary distributor.
