Not going to say "no big loss", or "huge loss"... the kid is a very good overall athlete, but was not going to help us for a couple years at least and unless he changed sides of the ball not in a area of real need. More power to him, and if more immediate PT is a goal, then he made the right choice. I wish him well except vs the Beavs.
Good news/glass half full... if you're are now having to ask this type of kid to grey shirt or walk on we are filling our schollies up with players we think are better/fill our immediate needs.

I was afraid this might happen. Someone close to the situation told me he was about 50/50 last week. I saw him play several times, and was amazed by how underused he was in Lebanon's offense. I remember thinking that he would need to bulk up considerably to okay PAC 12 football.
By all accounts, he is a really good kid, and he has some great athletic potential. I hope he thrives in the Mountain West!
