Always a little disappointing to me when the kids transfer just to win (reminds me of certain NBA teams stocking players). She won the year before but decided to abandon everyone to join a more talented team so she could graduate a champion? I'd prefer to see someone who stayed and did everything in their power to make their teammates better. There's probably more going on there, though.

It's a small state and as I understand it, there is one school that has dominated for years. She didn't go to *that* school, like KD going to Golden State. She went to a school that she figured had a shot at it - more like LeBron going back to Cleveland.
And you have to consider, would playing at the lousy school enhance her skills? You can't play full-speed if your teammates are all turtles. At her new school she'll be playing with a point guard that will be at Utah next year - that should help her development, I would think.
Of course, if she ends up at Tennessee I'll tell you that she's a pampered brat with zero character . . .

Like the one last year who didn't want attention but then waited a day after the first signing day so she would have everyone watching her. Then put an hour long show about how good she is before she announced her decision to wear the wrong orange color. At least our oregon high school recruit shut her down head to head, holding her to just 11 points total. I heard only 2 points in the second half. A real Gabby like performance on a top three nationally ranked opponent. At least Burrell is not from Oregon, we have lost a few really good high school prospects to little t. I could understand it a while back but now? What is the draw? Once again I find hope in our ability to recruit top talent and being in the small group for their final choice.

Her old team full of "turtles" beat the new team she's going to in the title game. Unless all the stars graduated. I wish her the best of luck. I hope she continues to be a dominant player and then chooses OSU. If she does choose, Tennessee, though, I'm holding you to that post.

She did move into the Liberty High School zone over the summer so it's not like she didn't have a legitimate reason to transfer.
