I know I know, SEC and Miss State is probably the higher profile school....
But just in terms of weather... How could anyone choose Mississippi over Oregon??? Have you ever been to Mississippi in August? Awful doesn't even come close to describing it...

Oregon in those months, not so much. Plus New Orleans is right next door.

If anything, many of those kids relish the idea of playing in a totally new place, even with its bad weather months. One could say that Oregon doesn't have tornados, hurricanes and devastating floods that Miss and Florida have to deal with. But at the end of the day, 80% or more of recruits sign with programs within 500 miles of their home. Thats going to be the biggest issue IMO that OSU has to deal with. As far as programs go, yes Miss St. is in the SEC, and thats big, but the pac12 does seem to have a big appeal to many eastern kids, if recent history is any indication, so who knows. and then there's this thing called early PT .....

Lookin' good for (FL) OLB Kenny Turnier. Here's hoping that this kid is an animal by 2019...but 2018 could be his real coming out party. A athlete of his caliber with only one year of football under his belt could really blossom under the tutelage of a college coaching staff with OSU's resources. High ceiling.
