I saw that too. It is really an interesting question. Interesting cultural and sociological types of questions it brings up. Do we really as a society believe in second changes? do we really forgive and forget. Do we really believe that a "debt to society" can be paid? Is jail enough? is "extra-judicial" punishment okay? are some crime just too bad to be forgiven? How can a felon be expected to return to society if we never let them? Do we even want them to come back? didn't Great Britain use Australia for a reason??? that sort of thing.

I'm sure Dr. Ed Ray is watching this case closely. He supports Luke's return in 2018, and wouldn't mind to have a legal ruling to support his decision.
