Pains me to say it but after reading many comments and occasionally posting I get the feeling that some of you hope we lose the rest of the way to help bolster your opinion of the state of our football coaching staff. For me I will root for whoever plays and coaches a beaver team.

I am and always will be hopeful, and I will always root for my team to win regardless of circumstance, and if CGA somehow miraculously pulls out a 5 or 6 win season I will be happy to see what he can do next year...
But, I think most people are just being realistic... It is VERY HARD to see another win this year... As I have said many times... not because of talent, but because of HEART and lack thereof. Whatever the reason, CGA has lost this team, and I don;t see him getting it back, i HOPE he does, I just don't see it...

Yeah, at this point, I feel anti-GA talking points have already been proven to have some merit. They don't need the team to faceplant the rest of the way in order to "spike the football" so to speak. I mean, best case scenario at this point is probably 3-6 in Pac-12, 4-8 overall, right? I think at that point, pro-Gary dudes are thinking "we've got a spark!" and anti-Gary dudes are going to be saying "10 wins in three seasons." Everyone is happy and unhappy at the same time, which makes for great discussions on the message board.
It's really a win-win.

For me I will root for whoever plays and coaches a beaver team. I am trying to figure out how a 7-20 record, giving up 46 points per game through 3 games while scoring 24, barely squeaking past an FCS team leads anybody to have an "opinion" other than this staff is doing a poor job? I mean that is the objective truth. We are the #128th ranked scoring defense before we even start Pac-12 play. We are the #92nd ranked scoring offense, before we even start Pac-12 play. Our OOC slate was not hard. zero ranked teams, 2 home games, one FCS team. Minnesota will likely be sub .500 this year. Colorado State was our best opponent and they will probably be a 3rd or 4th place MW team. I literally cannot fathom how a person can come to a conclusion OTHER than the coaches are doing a poor job. What further evidence could anybody possibly need at this point? So no. Nobody here is wishing we lose. We all have seen enough. What we are all wishing for is to be proven wrong. Not right. If we are proven right, everybody loses. WE are a crappy, garbage team, with crappy garbage coaches that no self respecting recruit would even sniff at. No amount of "I told you so" makes up for that reality. Being right about this program and these coaches would be the literal definition of a Pyrrhic victory. We want to be wrong. We are literally falling down on our knees BEGGING Andersen to prove us wrong. I am not sure you really grasp how desperately badly I want to be wrong about everything.

For me I will root for whoever plays and coaches a beaver team. There is one team I always hope loses the rest of the way. Every season, no matter who is their coach. But it sure as hell isn't the Beavers. I think many of us are resigned to no additional Beaver wins this season. That is setting expectations properly, IMHO. Then, if by chance they sneak a W in there somewhere, we will all be very happy and act like the idiots some people think we already are. My quack friends are convinced that I am a complete and total Beaver homer, and I am.

I was excited about Andersen when he came to Corvallis. With Sitake and Baldwin I thought we had a dream team staff. I've been bitterly disappointed in the results.

For me I will root for whoever plays and coaches a beaver team. Not a chance; lived through too many bad seasons to ever hope for another one just to get a coach fired. That is an organic process that most individual fans have little impact over anyway. As a coach if your record sucks, you go bye bye. But never do I want the Beavs to lose. That goes against every thing that I am as a Beaver Believer and alumnus!

For me I will root for whoever plays and coaches a beaver team. Hell No! I just call it as I see it. I have been waiting for this team to turn it around for the last 3 games and unfortunately there is zero sign(s) of that happening. At some point you have to analyze the facts without subjectivity. If you look at the state of this program objectively, you realize that there is something MAJORLY amiss here! I would love nothing more to be completely wrong and the Beavs play competitive the rest of the year and find some wins. However, I can't see that happening. By game 4 (already a quarter of the season gone) you know what ya got and unfortunately, the Beavs don't have much (leadership, direction, consistency, fire/passion). Seriously, still love this program but it's very hard to watch! Go Beavs!

I hope that I don't come to see football the way I have basketball: apathetic. I have so much fun on football weekends Worth every dollar and every minute I spend on it. Cannot wait until Mrs sage shoulder enables us to be in Corvallis to share game day with friends.
