This assumes a 1-11 or 2-10 season. And in case you forgot that 1 win was against an average FCS team that had their way with us but couldn't kick the ball.
Sit GA down and let him know that he no longer hires the assistant coaches because his guys didn't get it done. Then you bring in an entirely new staff hired by the athletic department.
If Gary says no and quits, we get a new coach. If he says yes we get a definitive system that works on both sides of the ball. The new staff would not be a bunch of friends who like to hang out together but a collection and mix of smart and energetic coaches who are proven winners. Don't care what level they won at but they've found a way to get it done!
I realize most of you will laugh at this but there are incredibly gifted, brilliant and energetic coaches walking the sidelines on Friday's as well and those dudes relate to 17 &18 year olds pretty dang well so you'd think they could be pretty solid in the living room too.
I'm tired of this system of hiring a head coach with a name, overpaying for them and they bring their best pals with them instead of finding stud assistants that just want to kick some ass.

I see three realistic scenarios for assistants at OSU. 1. The HC's buddies. 2. Grad assistants or lower division level coaches looking for an opportunity to move up the ladder. 3. And former Head Coaches out of a job and wanting to keep coaching anywhere for a year or two until they're offered a new HC job somewhere. Stud assistants have lots of opportunity and will go wherever they think they have the best chance to win and where there's a highly successful head coach they can learn from. Looks like two strikes against us.

When Gary Anderzzano goes 1-11 or 2-10, than his ass needs to be fired.

When Gary Anderzzano goes 1-11 or 2-10, than his ass needs to be fired. That CGA should be released NOW is obvious. But this is OSU...no one will do anything about the rot in our FB program until a lot more long-term damage has been done.
