No digs at our staff or players, just a question about the game...
On the play where the WSU QB muffled the ball and fumbled it sure looked to me like WSU ran to the line and hiked the ball without actually being set for a brief period of time.
I thought there was at least some required amount of time to be set to allow the defense to at least attempt to get in place.
I'm thinking that play was designed to catch us off guard, but basically the QB wasn't even ready. Should there have been some kind of infraction called?

I'm gonna assume you mean from the Minnesota game - and yes, they tried to catch us off guard. When you have multiple players in motion, you have to get set at the line for 1 full second or it is illegal motion. If the refs had called a penalty, we would have declined it.

I wasn't even sure if the offense was set on that particular play. Possibly the fastest snap I've ever seen. I know it would have been declined, but I'm surprised the center was even handed the ball yet, much less an infraction not called. It was an odd play.

They should have called a personal foul on one of the Oregon State players. That was the right call.
