I don't want to overlook a couple of true freshmen who come to play, and could have very bright futures. Isaiah Hodgins is highly skilled and consistent, and David Morris had 17 tackles last night - 10 solo.
Villamin also played very well last night, and I hope so much that we can give him enough opportunities that opposing coaches and NFL scouts take notice of him. He deserves to go out with some glory.
Since I don't like to call people out by name, suffice it to say that at least one player at each position is underachieving this year - especially on D. The entire O line has played abysmally, but one veteran guy in particular is a penalty machine.
It is vital that we acknowledge some of these kids who are busting it and competing. The problem is that it takes 11 guys doing that in a unit to be consistently good. On most plays, it seems like maybe 1/2 of our guys are successfully doing their jobs. For the sake of guys on our roster who have the potential to be really good to exceptional PAC 12 performers, something has to give in this program!

The OL is struggling and mentally the team is struggling to deal with it. Struggling to go out there and put in maximum effort to get open only to have the ball overthrown by a QB on roller skates or not thrown at all because he has been flushed out of the pocket and is on the opposite side of the field.

Maybe take a bowl game away and cougs can stay home with the beavs.
