I have a challenge for Andersen. The challenge is based on the integrity that he claims to hold his players to! His contract would keep him from being fired due to the expensive buyout but he could always resign! If he is the man of integrity that he claims to be and wants to be a great example for young men in his program, he would admit that he is not qualified for this particular job, resign and move on!
I would even go one step further just to make it fair and say that by the end of the season if the Beavs aren't in a bowl game, because anyone with any sense knows we won't be, that he resigns completing a 3 year tenure here.
I do want to be clear that this is not a direct reflection just from the "win/loss" record to this point but more how the team is/isn't performing. With more talent than they had in his first season, they are worse and that is unimaginable to me. Had the staff been able to slowly improve the team each season (even if wins were the same as last season) but games were close and the team was competing with everyone, then this is a different story. But, that's not the case, so here we are. That's my proposition.
Go Beavs!

If this was Japan before WWII ended, being one of their head guys on the losing side usually resulted in sword to the stomach time.
Yeah, it's official, We Suck. We will also endure. Japan did that after September 2nd, 1945. Now look at how many vehicles and electronics we buy from them! From the ashes and all that you know. January 1, 2001 was a pretty special date of redemption, when the worst team of the 20th century beat the best team of the 20th century on the first day of the 21st century.
My favorite quote from the 28 Years Of Losing: "We may not win the game but we never lost a party!".
Hang in there baby, hang in there.
