"Mr. Intangible"
He's all about the intangibles. Wants a QB that "leads the team well." Spouts on and on about toughness and big boy pants. Only wants players that are completely "bought in" to the "process" (whatever it is that year), and if there's any doubt, then GTFO.
He exudes intangibles off the charts, and expects the same from his players. Unfortunately, the ability to actually play or coach the game of football is completely secondary.
The Gary Andersen era simply cannot end soon enough. What an epic failure. We have all been conned by a fraud. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Buying in is one of those buzz word intangibles we all roll our eyes at, but it's absolutely imperative. Culture is a huge part of a successful program. The players are going to go through high levels of physical and mental stress and pain and they have to believe it's for the best. I know I just got done saying in another thread that players should still play to win for a coach they don't love, but the culture of a program can define if it's healthy or dead in the water. Was Anersen a fraud at Utah St? What has happened?

He lucked into a real gamer of a quarterback. Rode him all the way to landing the gig at Wisconsin. At Wiscy, he brought his intangibles to bear on a program that already had an established system and was not going to change it by order of the legendary AD. The combination actually worked pretty well...
We are the first school that allowed him to use us as his personal plaything, and his past successes have made him arrogant enough to think that he can chase off the best players and things will still magically work out. But all along, the emporer has had no clothes...

Mr. Intangible, no talent ass clown or the big Fraud has a personal philosophy that is more suited for the State of Utah than Oregon.
I have my own theory, but perhaps some things are best left unsaid.
Is there another reason 3M didn't win the QB spot?

Suffice it to say 3M is the third QB Riley recruit (Del Rio AND Vanderveeen before him) that Andersen seemingly chose not to play.

Maybe, I dunno, I posted elsewhere where it seems like he is trying to put together the All Airport Team, like he wants these tall, good looking bunch. Shoot look at Luton, it is like he is from central casting. Anyway, see like he has drove away any guys that were too short or didn't fit the "type" at that position.

Was Anersen a fraud at Utah St? What has happened? Well, it's pretty obvious that Mr. "Anersen" lost his "d".........among a lot of other things. Sorry, couldn't resist.

So we went from "Mediocre Mike" to "God-awful Gary"? God Awful Gary makes Mediocre Mike look like Saint Mike.
And I do believe he is indeed a saint.
