Minnesota is a physical team, their best play-makers are at RB, this isn't good for the Beaver "defensive line".
Still the Beaver offense has shown life, Gophers 35, Beavers 30.

I don't think there will be that many points scored as Minnesota just runs, runs, and runs some more. 24-20 Minnesota.

Or the next home game might be a ghost stadium experience. With all (1000's??? and in every section) the tix under $30 on StubHub any loss with be the end of the line for most. And, without a win to build player confidence and belief it appears 3-9 is the best case scenario. *I guess it presents another marketing tool... Halloween approaching they could set up a haunted house/stadium with all the room they'll have.

I think beavs turn it around this week, and shore up the run. Big day for Noah and Nall

I was worried about this game until yesterday's article. After hearing our defense is getting there and our offense is nearing perfection, I'll call it 70-23 Beavs win.

I guess my comments are: -way to cover your arse on the defensive side. If we give up big yards, points, or both GA really didn't say anything definitive and can just say we have not arrived! -Wow... I'd guess that perfection is impossible over an entire game, so "nearing" is quite the accomplishment albeit "we're talking about PRACTICE... man"... AND it vs OUR defense... and probably the 2's!!! So there's that...

Minnesota by 2 TD's sounds reasonable. It just doesn't sound positive to us Beaver fans sorry to say. Our D can't stop the run worth a "dam" after all...LOL!

YEah, when PSU needs only 3 plays and 80 yards to score, I am more than a bit worried what a Power5 team's running game will do.

My hope is that the Gophers 2 QB system and PJ Fleck "ripping off the band aid" like CGA did when he first got here means Minny really is as bad right now as they looked vs. Buffalo...
They still score a few times because our run defense is just that bad, but their passing game will remind us of watching Seth, Nick Mitchell and 3M again... Meanwhile our O is clicking on all cylinders...
Beavs win mostly by keeping the ball and the gophers own ineptitude on offense.
Beavers win 42 - 28!

I am as down on this team and this coach and this program as anybody. Complete dumpster fire. And yet...for some reason, I just have a feeling about tomorrow. Mostly because of Minnesota's shortcomings. I think they're still finding their way with their coach, still finding their feet, and they aren't exactly world-beaters right now. Playing on the road against another team desperate for a win is not a good recipe.
And part of it is that I'm guessing our coaches have had a wakeup call. Heading into our first game, they clearly thought we were WAY better than we turned out to be. Ok, so we lost to CSU, but maybe CSU is good, ya know? But then PSU happens and CSU looks hopeless against Colorado. I think our coaches really know what they have to work with now, and can give attention where it's needed. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader as to how they can be so clueless heading into the first game, as that's irrelevant in the immediate run-up to game 3.
I also have to believe that those players who may not be happy with the coaches or where the program is headed right now are probably getting a wakeup call as well. There's little point in crying or whining now. Might as well get to work and make the best of things.
But mostly because I think Minnesota might be pretty bad...
I'll say OSU 31-28.
GO BEAVS!
