I roll my eyes every time I hear announcers and fans talk about "halftime adjustments." WTF are those. One, it takes time to get there. It takes time for the coaches to get there. It takes time to take care of personal business. It takes time to get back out to the field. When do you want all these miraculous adjustments to be made.
Bigger question: Opponent is doing something that adversely affects you or opponent is doing something that you can exploit. OH, LET'S WAIT UNTIL HALFTIME TO MAKE THE ADJUSTMENTS. You really want that??? You don't think adjustments are being made all game long. You have coordinators et al upstairs. You have phones, tablets, wifi. You don't notice all those gaggles between players and position coaches on the sidelines. Or, one of your OL comes up to you and says a DL has a great swim move and is getting beat inside. So you reply, "OK, let's trap his ass." No wait, you can't do that until halftime. Or, if you didn't do it at halftime, you are stuck with it.
