I figure Clune might get the axe but then again maybe our AD might do something before Andersen?
Clune seemed like he did some good things last year as I thought we saw an improvement on D comapred the warm butter we had before he arrived but it seems to have reverted back to warm butter.
I suppose the main issue is to know in advance who you might be able to hire first though. Andersen was supposedly not controlling either O or D this year but you would think that his pride will see him want the D to not be such a joke and he will get more involved with what is happening.
I honestly think it is more of an issue of the players not playing hard for the coaches for some reason. Definitely something "off" with team

Take the strength and conditioning coach with him.

Take the strength and conditioning coach with him. But... we're so much bigger, faster, stronger!

Definitely something "off" with team I agree that there's something "off", but I think it's coaching. I thought the players played hard, just poorly. They had PLENTY of chances to quit and let PSU win. Well, even more chances than what happened today anyways.

Start with Clune. It's his responsibility. Don't stop until you get to the problem. Receptionists take note!!

The defensive backs are being forced to do too much, as a result. Unless CGA drops it, the defense is never going to get going.

Honestly, how often does firing an assistant actually work? If it's to the point that you need to sacrifice someone, or it's so bad that a coordinator has to go, the real problem is with the head coach. It's a stop gap that coaches use to buy themselves another year. "oh well he made the tough call and it is so and so's first season so that explains why they still suck, but *next* year we'll be better".

well if you can't afford to fire the HC maybe you can make him get his future replacement on board? Utah State can't have that many more coaches, right???

Look down the Road to MR.T. One year and they are up and Rolling. Look really good on O and much better on D. Worse yet the man is recruiting his ass off.

Unfortunately for us the ucks assembled the best staff money could buy. Some with no ties to Taggart at all. As much as I hate those guys I have to give them credit. Outside of the cheating part, they don'the mess around when they start losing. They hire the right people and get back on track.

And I will add Taggart tells the players to go and have fun playing football at the same time. The assistants were actually teaching and correcting issues during the live game situation is what I read in one post game article. Sometimes it is more about building a belief in a system. Call it the Coach Rueck principle.

As I was watching the game on Saturday I found myself wondering if GA would be fired in season... I thought they were playing that bad. Firing thenDC is fine, but I agree who will be the coordinator and if GA STICKS WITH THE 3-4 THEN What would be different?
