Probably a good move on his part what with the wealth of talent Beavs will have in 2018 (and then there was his pre-Omaha 'problem')

Of course it was a good move, he is now a professional baseball player! Congrats to Christian.

I am not surprised with the wealth of talent in the outfield. Kendall Rogers reported that he was suspended because of Academic Problems.

KR is wrong. You don't face a potential 50-game suspension, or get suspended before the end of spring term when you are eligible entering spring term, because of academic problems.

Not sure why Joe Kool would think its a good move for a 260 hitter with no pop and no position to leave school with out a degree for an apple and a road map. My guess is he lost the appeal to the NCAA to have the 50 game suspension removed.

My guess is he lost the appeal to the NCAA to have the 50 game suspension removed. He was a college baseball player who probably had a dream of becoming a professional baseball player. Guess what? Now he is. The Cubs saw something to offer him a contract. And who cares if he left without a degree. You can always go back and get one. You aren't going to get many chances to become a professional baseball player.
