First and foremost, a win
Secondly, no more than 7 points given up in the entire game
Third, two 100 yard individual rushers, and at least 300 total rushing yards for the Beavers
Fourth, Luton finding the open receivers and with accuracy. Doesn't have to be deep balls, just make smart decisions. The under guy can catch and run an additional 8 yards, that's better than forcing to go deep for an incomplete or interception
Fifth, no turnovers

Would like to see: solid tackling technique, especially in space a defense that is where it's supposed to be on every play and in position to make the play 0 turnovers on offense No more read option with a QB who won't be able to run effectively when we get into conference play. Leadership and cohesiveness Seth Collins back(has he been cleared?) and no new injuries They did actually blitz a few times, one where the hyphenated dude rocked their qb in the first quarter. I'm amazed he came back. Tough guy.

A 29-14 win. Anything less and Andersen should be fired.

A 29-14 win. Anything less and Andersen should be fired. 54-40 or fight! For our offensive points that is.

I'm hoping to see a D that looks like they know what they're doing on the field and is playing well together.
I want to see an O that adapts to what PSU gives them but is able to turn that into a running attack that wears them out.
I'd like to see a game where I feel we're solidly in control by the 3rd quarter and when it's 3rd down and 3 I'm not worried about us making it (or the converse if it's 3rd down and 3 for them I feel like we can stop them).

There are ~4 possible scenarios: 1) The Beavers put it all together, and romp to the tune of 70-0. While I would love to see this, and it would give me great hope for the season, from what I heard of the PSU-BYU game, I don't think PSU is going to roll over and play dead to the tune of 70-0, and I didn't see enough at CSU to feel we were on the cusp of such a performance. 2) The Beavers limit mistakes, control the LOS, get the ball to our playmakers, and Luton shows the leadership and promise that the coaches want to see from him, and we win 35-10 or 45-7. This would also be a good outcome, probably more likely, and would give me hope for the rest of the season in general and the Minnesota game in particular. 3) Beavers win on a last second FG or TD!!! While exciting and entertaining, I am filled with foreboding for the rest of the season and see more of those grey hairs that come from being a Beaver fan emerge on my head. I am unable to locate any more Tums in my home. 4) Sac State / EWU / Montana / <name your nightmare here> - the board is flooded with Mike Riley reminiscing, and pitchforks sell out in the Willamette Valley. I count the days until WBB starts so I can enjoy a well-coached Beaver team. I consider this possibility to have low likelihood......just because by my quick count, there are a lot of days until WBB season starts. I hope to see #2, I would re-watch the game repeatedly on DVR should I get to see #1. Go Beavers!!! Get the W! <please> #2 is most likely. If #4 happens, CGA should be fired Lane Kiffin style.

A 29-14 win. Anything less and Andersen should be fired. I don't care what PSU did last week, if we can't score more than 29 points...I don't know what to say. We should have 500 yards of offense and score in the 40s if not more. edit: Oh, you whooshed me. I get it now. 8/30/14.

Well, Ryan Nall gets the ball 20 times, we get 3 sacks and 3 interceptions and win by 30+

The game over by halftime as a Pac 12 team puts the wood to a Big Sky team. Stats? Run/pass ratio? I could care less. It's okay if PSU scores a few lucky points in garbage time, but I need to see a game in which by halftime everyone in the stadium and tuning in on air knows that PSU should stop scheduling these types of body bag games. Absolute abuse in which even OSU fans start feeling sorry for a team that showed up to a game that is way out of their league (literally). Parents deciding by the end of the 3rd quarter that maybe they have time to take the kids to the park, after all.
That's what I need to see to restore some faith in Andersen. A good old-fashioned whippin'. Anything less...ugh.

For me, I want to see a shutout on defense. On offense, I want to see balance and a plan that exploits what the defense gives them. Of course I can want in one hand and............ But I need to see some real improvements so I can start building expectations for Minny and the Pac again. Go Beavs!! On offense: - Sustained blocks in the run and pass game by all 5 or 6 up front - Committment to running the ball to set up the pass - Accurate throws and receivers making plays - Next to zero dumb penalties - No TOs and good judgement by Jake (even if it means a sack) - Physical dominance at the point of attack - Finishing drives with TDs (at least 6) - Have a decent flow with coaches showing some creativity On defense: - Physical dominance in the trenches - Much better pressure on me the QB from the front 7 - Good angles and sure tackles - Tighter coverage in the secondary - Force at least 3 TOS - Coaches showing some imagination in alignments and making adjustments (changing it up) If I see all of those goals realized, we win going away. It may seem like a lot of detail, but it isn't unreasonable to expect all of this. The caliber or status of the opponent is irrelevant to me. If we look like a TEAM and do these things, it will be a great improvement!

And a receiver that is making waves in his NFL debut. They were good, no matter what division.

With temps in the high 90's, a wet t-shirt or two would be nice, other than that: Nall over 100 Tyner over 100 Hodgins 5+ catches Togai 5+ catches A punt or KO return over 40 yds

PSU kicks off twice and punts ten times? That would make a good game.
