Will Gary Anderson win an away game during his tenure as OSU coach?

Will Gary Anderson win an away game during his tenure as OSU coach? Better question, what are the odds of wining an away game this year, or next??

MAYBE Cal or AZ? maybe... that is counting on massive improvement from this weekend.

Or we light up the torches and grab the pitchforks.

I don't want to start over with a new coach, and just like the basketball program for YEARS, why fire someone when you don't know who to hire yet? But four wins all year might change my mind.

This is stinky logic. You know a change needs to be made or not. You know there's risk involved if you do. Waiting another year or putting it off because you don't have his replacement lined up, if the determination is made that change has to happen, serves no positive purpose. This isn't a perennial bowl program risking losing that level of play. The risk is that we could get even worse, but I'd rather take that risk, than live with 58-27 to a MWC team. And don't me wrong, this needs to play out another year or 2. I'm not calling for CGA's head, yet.

I say Cal, and Arizona only if Rich Rod is still coaching.

Jeff Tedford? Rocky Long? Kalani Sitake? Norm Chow? Chip Kelly? Mark Banker? I don't think that we are there yet, but we are a lot closer than I thought we were. CGA needs to show us that things are under control over the next couple of weeks, or we need to make a change to make sure that things don't spiral.

Almost more because I want every Duck fan's head to explode more than the fact I think he is a pretty good college coach. But I am going to be honest. I think Niner (Jonathan Smith) has the right stuff. he played for Erickson and Riley, GA'd for Riley, Coached for Erickson, OC'd in lower and D-1 level football, and now has several years under one of the best in the game in Petersen. I think somebody will take a flyer on him sooner than later, and I rather it be us! He has always been really intelligent with everything football, the job he has done with QBs is fantastic, and he is keenly aware of the challenges small programs face (Idaho, Montana, BSU) and the tactics you need to win. But just my thought. It isn't just nostalgia that has my eye following Smith. I think he can be an under the radar gem.

I think Whittingham would jump, if we could bump up his salary, as well. There is a lot of coaching talent out there right now. We should not be afraid to fire CGA here, if it clearly is not working. And I am wildly unimpressed so far. All phases look awful. Nall is a bright spot, but CGA won't give him the rock. I personally think that CGA should get this year and next year to show us what he's got. But I also think that, if this starts looking like a 9- or 10-loss season, we need to cut bait and in a hurry.
