A group of friends of mine traveled from the Corvallis area to Goldendale Washington in '79 (?) to see the eclipse. We experienced partial totality here through a cloud cover. After they returned, they insisted I had missed out on an amazing experience. Now I understand why. If I live long enough, I will be in Texas in '24 to see another one.

Humbling. Beautiful. Watched from our back-yard in good ol' Lebanon with loved ones and dogs and cats. Frogs started chirping as the darkness grew. I actually felt a slight chill. Then...over, too, too soon.
Science sucks.....right?
