First off, I will never be a duck fan. duck hatred has been in our family for 4 generations. I hope Willie cant coach. He will have the players he needs and his recruiting is obviously amazing for the future. His coaching career has taken bad teams and made them better. He has a good team and will be better next year. Defensive Coordinator of the year will probably be pretty good at fixing the defense. Oregon seemingly has all the pieces they need to be very very good. Does anyone see any chinks in the armor? Last years win over the ducks was a blast and I want more.

"Does anyone see any chinks in the armor?"
He left his offensive consultant and mentor, Joe Kinnan, in Bradenton. It will be interesting to see what the co-offensive coordinators will do with all of that talent. MB.

First off, I will never be a duck fan. Stop writing there. After that, there is simply no reason to discuss anything good of th3m here.

Unless Willie Taggert is the coach of the century (which I don't think he's even close!) No Way! Some real questions that need to be answered: * Can Slick Willie and his staff coach this group? (unknown) * Will any/all of these guys that have been recruited show, qualify and be on the field come Fall? (Big Unknown) * Can this whole new staff automatically connect with this team and have them magically turn around from a lousy season last year instantly? (Doubtful)
This is Hype beyond hype in my honest opinion! The guy hasn't done anything yet really (Taggert) at Oregon. When he starts winning games in the PAC 12 then we'll talk!
Go Beavs!

Two things - I agree that they have shown nothing on the field as yet, and, that many of these guys will never appear or will flame out. What Chip got was speed an toughness and he created a new offense. These guys seem to dwell on hype. Secondly, They have one great recruiter... he will get out of there next year ( Cristobal ), he deserves to be a head coach. With 4 losses or more this year, and several verbals hanging in the balance - next year will not be better.

Oregon needs SEC-grade DL's in abundance and WR's to develop after Carrington got shuffled off to Buffalo before they're back to Chip Kelly performance standard. It'll take two more seasons at least before they can get excited about Nattys in Eugene at a minimum. This year the CW will be to see who can gash the other D harder. Shootout City! Since we can play Powerball, clock control will be in our hands. If GA does to Oregon what the Giants did to the Bills in the Super Bowl back in the early 90's, we have a solid shot to make it two in a row.
Besides, who's the QB for Oregon after their starter? If the Sheldon Kid goes down for the count, there goes the season IMO.
