And 2 more HRs tonight in Seattle... Not bombs, just line drives the park can't hold. Sweet swing for Kong.

We were sitting in the LF bleachers so we had a great view of the trajectory. What a beautiful swing! The Mets suck, but Michael is currently the best player on that team. He is threatening to finish with a .400 OBP, and if he does, he'll be just the 7th player to do it in Mets history!

.291 - 21 - 55 as of Friday night with only 185 at bats.
Unusual offensive production and SP from your leadoff man.
Stellar, man . . . . stellar.

Wow, that's just awesome! What a thrill for Skipper to have Mikey donate that! I bet that finds a very prominent wall in PC's office!
Has Jacoby been an All-Star? Any other ex-Beavs?

Wow, that's just awesome! What a thrill for Skipper to have Mikey donate that! I bet that finds a very prominent wall in PC's office! Has Jacoby been an All-Star? Any other ex-Beavs? I am going to base what follows on what I think that I know. If someone has better information, please let me know: Oregon State's first All-Star was Ken Forsch, who was an All-Star for both the National League (1976 Astros) and the American League (1981 Angels). He is also the first Beaver to throw a no-hitter in MLB, on April 7, 1979 against the Braves. Jacoby Ellsbury was an All-Star in 2011, the first time for an Oregon State alum since 1981 and the first position player in Beaver history. Michael Conforto was an All-Star in 2017, the first position player named to the NL squad in Beaver history. Andrew Susac was named an Eastern League All-Star in 2013, while playing for AA Richmond. As far as I know, those are the only All-Stars in Oregon State history.
