I admit it's kinda/sorta early to begin thinking about 2018. I guess my thoughts have been stimulated because just yesterday I was informed, by the most reliable source imaginable, that BB will once again begin in Surprise AZ, with (8) EIGHT! games (as has been the recent pattern). Other than Omaha, there's few things better!

I have made my reservations. Staying for both weekends? Staying in Surprise? I skipped weekend 1 this year and stayed by the mall/stadium in Glendale. Very easy access to Surprise and hotel was significantly cheaper! But, thinking on doing both this year.

Yes, staying for both weekends - Friday thru Monday, then Thursday-Sunday. Staying in Sun City, about seven miles away.
It certainly wasn't hot there this year. In previous years weather has been perfect - in 70's and 80's, and there is always plenty of shade in the ballpark.

Shade is wonderfully plentiful in the ballpark...as is seating (park is huge). If you prefer camping/roughing it, White Tank Regional Park is close (about 6 miles west of Stadium). Last year we learned that even if reservations for their well-appointed campsites are not available, there is a designated Overflow Area that is considerably more rustic (porta-potty only, and no hook-ups). That area is only about 1/2 mile past the actual campground and could provide (on the sly?) access to the showers at CG.

The last 2 years we have stayed in Goodyear. Pretty nice RV park and relatively inexpensive. Just a quick jaunt up the 303 to the stadium. Looking forward to year 4 for us, and 2 full weekends of vitamin D.

anybody know the exact dates ? time to make reservations. we stay in Goodyear or Glendale every year. close to the ballpark at surprise, and still an easy trip into phoenix. never been to Omaha, but after 5 months of rain around here can't imagine anything much better then a sunny two weeks in Arizona
