OSU baseball announced their 2017 class last November. The class included 10 recruits and we have since lost one athlete, Kevin Watson to Pro ball. Now I'm seeing the official class is at 11 with two new recruits added to the class. I was aware we were recruiting both, but my understanding was they were coming in as walk-on players.
C Jordan Mambaje from Clackamas
1B Zach Busiacchi from Orange-Lutheran in Orange, CA.
Anyone shed any light on this - partial scholly or walk-on guys ?

Here's a quick write up on Busalacchi from Baseball America: 1B Zach Busalacchi, Sr., Orange (Calif.) Lutheran: In a field that included three preseason All-American first basemen, Busalacchi stood out with a physical presence in the batter’s box. He reached base in eight of his 13 plate appearances and had five hits—three singles and two doubles. In case his impact with the bat wasn’t enough, Busalacchi excelled on the mound as well. In the championship game, the Oregon State recruit tossed five scoreless innings and induced the game-ending double play. www.baseballamerica.com/high-school/2017-nhsi-teams/#DiChxjrwywoOaPvv.97

Mambaje committed to the Beavers during his freshman year in high school. I think he was hoping for a scholarship, but the Claunch signing pushed Jordan to walk-on status. He has been big in welcoming new Beaver commits over the last few years on social media. Sounds like a great kid and a good catcher.
