Incoming Beavs transfer Destiny Slocum is one of 40 invited players who will compete for a spot on the USA U-23 national team during the 2017 USA Basketball Women’s U-23 National Team Training Camp. The camp will take place July 31-August 4 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team Committee issued the invitations. A total of 12 players will make the squad. Slocum has made an US national team previously and took home a gold medal in an event held in Russia. More on Destiny's upcoming opportunity to compete for a spot on the 12-member U.S. U-23 women's basketball team from her local newspaper, the Idaho Statesman. Destiny Slocum is in Colorado Springs and wearing #38 for the group photo in the Tweet photo below. Lots of quality competition (and PAC-12 representation) among the 40 invited players as they vie for one of the 12 roster spots on the national U-23 team.
