To Lubbock Christian University (NCAA Division 2), as per their twitter feed (@lcu_Baseball) as retweeted by Steven Kwan. Good luck Scotland!

I wish him the best of luck... Never got a chance this year with the flock of talent that came in.

Once he hadn't played near the beginning of the year he probably asked the coaches if he could redshirt so he would have another year of eligibility somewhere else. Church was pretty good when he got opportunities at OSU as a sophomore and junior -- just goes to show how tough it is.

no knock on Scotty Church, but D2 is a better fit for him. I think there will be more transfers coming. I don't blame the kids, do you want to be 25th man on a team that goes to Omaha, or do you want to play ? ask King, Sogard, Gillette and Fishback

Hard to be the mop up relief pitcher if your team is never losing.

And apparently all quiet on the Martinek front.

I talked to Scotland out in the Goss parking lot during the regionals when his truck's windshield was broken by a homerun ball. He told me he hurt his shoulder at the beginning of the season so was red shirting. Also saw him in Omaha. Enjoyed watching his career with the Corvallis Knights and the Beavers. Wishing him success back home in Lubbock.

And apparently all quiet on the Martinek front. A while back Eggers hinted that there was some personal stuff going on with Martinek.

You're right, maybe family illness. I remember now. Petey lost both his parents while playing here and TMo last his dad. Hard to be that age and go through that.
