St. Mary's. Taycee Wedin is Aleah Goodman's h.s. teammate. Premiere 3 point shooter. Daughter of coach.
Some think she is in the running for Oregon h.s. POY this upcoming season....
Don't know if the Beavs were actively chasing her or not....I read on another board quite a while back that she had little or no interest in the Beavs.
Anyone have things to add to this development?

Katie Mayhue, our 2018 commit from the state of Oregon, averaged 3 to 4 more ppg than Taycee and is the more complete player. Katie will probably be POY this coming season, not Taycee, unless South Albany is such a bad team that nobody notices Katie. This last season, the Oregonian had Wedin as the #1 scorer in the state until the end of the season when somebody finally sent them an email about Katie's scoring average. She was lost in the swamp at SA.

Taycee Wedin is an elite high school shooter and scorer who has continued to work on and make progress with the other parts of her basketball game in order to become a more complete player. She will be a shooting (2) guard at the next level at St. Mary's College and will consistently be a threat to stretch the opposing defenses with her outside shooting ability. Wedin tore her ACL following the high school season this year and is in her recovery phase. She won two high school 5A state titles at La Salle along with Aleah Goodman and has played at the highest AAU competitive level as a member of the Cal Stars Nike Elite EYBL team in '16. If Wedin had remained healthy and had another productive EYBL season this summer, she likely would have committed to a Power 5 conference team. Wedin comes from a fantastic basketball family. Both her mother (head coach) and father (assistant coach) have shaped a very successful and supportive basketball environment at La Salle. I really enjoyed the OregonLive.com article below about the Wedin family. highschoolsports.oregonlive.com/news/article/4461173482912190275/for-wedins-la-salles-rise-as-girls-basketball-power-is-family-success-story/

Thanks for the additional info on Taycee Wedin....I had not heard anything about the seriousness of her knee injury..She and Mayhue should both have great upcoming seasons. I really do not know of any other top flight prospects in the 2018 class in Oregon - -am I missing someone who the Beavs are looking at?
