Kind of perplexing to see the sloppiness. They aren't shooting worth beans either, but it's the lack of crispness in execution that's incredibly frustrating. The defense looks horrible tonight as well. Very disappointing!

It also seems like UCLA's women could shoot the ball out their tailpipes laying on their backs at mid court and hit nothing but net!

Just getting the ball inbounds seems to be difficult right now. Have noticed that the men struggle in this area as well. We have great coaches, and lots of experienced players, so I'm not sure what that's about.

We just looked inept tonight - like we'd never been challenged before or something. Not going to scare anyone playing like this and certainly nowhere close to a top 10 team. Geez, we couldn't hit the ocean from the beach. Sydney's outstanding and a real leader, and she would have made a big difference, but only Jamie looked like she had any game tonight!

I'm always called a hater or negative for stating anything but positives, and Scott has done a tremendous job at OSU; but, we're just not athletic. PERIOD.
Next year's recruiting class is much more so than this year's, but if the end of last season did not make that obvious then nothing will. Just having Sidney back does not change the fact we are are a streaky shooting team that often does not taken advantage of our strengths.
This team can not play an up tempo, shoot threes all night game versus the upper tier teams. We need both a power/inside-out facets and control the tempo.
Look we won the Pac 12 last year, but we were not the best team. Stanford won the tourney and went to the Sweet 16. This team is not a top 10 team... maybe not a top 20 if they don't pick it up. ASU, Stanford, UCLA are playing exceptional now. Cal is also talented. We struggled at USC after jumping to a 15 point lead, which did not bode well for tonight
A 12-6 mark would be great I'm thinking... 8-1 @ home, 4-5 on the road.
The women's side looks a lot like the men's... no real elite for sure Final 4 team, but tough top to bottom. No gimme games... especially on the road.

This was really being exposed. Stanford,ASU,U of O,Washington,UCLA,all play this physical aggressive Defense . We have issues. Gulich seemed lost out there. This is what happened at the end of the year last year as well. Our offense was stagnant,Our handeling the press, people turn down open shots.Scott needs to adjust. He's a very good Coach, but we will not become elite unless we get qucker, better offense, and peoplethat come into the game stop passing up open shots. We literally played into their hands. injuries happen to all teams.

This thread is more entertaining then was the game. Shooting basketballs out of their tailpipes? As of now there are 4 comments about this game on the ESPN box score, two from Connecticut, and they didn't seem impressed. Bad games happen. The only thing I really know and understand about basketball is if you are being pressured by the defense, THAT is the EXACT time to attack. Best time to fastbreak is against a full court press. Katie McWilliams is going to end up with her face on a banner in Gill Coliseum, as will several others on this team, but much work to do before then. And we hope and pray for the wrist, and hope and pray no one else is punching any walls after this game. It is going to to get better, and I don't understand the athleticism comment. That gets used a lot in describing basketball players. I'm old enough to remember when the Blazers traded for Shaler Halimon, who was described by a Chicago Bulls official as "The Willie Mays of basketball." What the F is that? Shaler ended up being one of the most popular Tri Met bus drivers ever, and there is nothing wrong with that. But come on. Athleticism? I don't get what it means. Speed? Quickness? Shooting ability? Able to leap tall buildings and get a rebound?

One other thing. Study hard. It's the entire point isn't it?
